We are currently seeking a Water Resource Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This role provides an opportunity to work on complex water management projects, including stormwater design, watershed analysis, flood risk assessments, and erosion control strategies.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement stormwater management plans, flood risk assessments, and erosion control designs.
- Conduct watershed analysis and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
- Prepare reports, technical memos, and permit applications.
- Collaborate with municipal clients, land developers, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform site assessments, inspections, and data collection to support engineering solutions.
- Work with software such as HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, and GIS-based tools.
- Assist with project management tasks, budgeting, and proposal writing.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered or eligible for registration as a P. L. Eng.. in BC. (P. Eng. may be considered.)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Strong background in stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulic modeling.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, and GIS software.
- Experience with BC and federal regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits.
